Decision integrity for AI-enabled operations

Know what changed. Know what it affects. Know what can still move forward.

PEOA maps the evidence, authority and dependencies behind a consequential AI decision. When one of those conditions changes, the method identifies what needs review, what should stop and what can continue.

Why this exists

A workflow can keep running after the basis for its decision changes.

A provider changes terms. An approval expires. A policy changes. New evidence invalidates an assumption.

The workflow may still be technically able to execute. The decision behind it may no longer be valid. PEOA is designed to keep those two states separate.

How it works

Reopen only what changed.

Each consequential decision is tied to an owner, evidence, authority and the conditions it depends on. A material change reopens the affected path while unrelated work remains available for separate disposition.

Decision identityRecord the decision, accountable owner and operating context.
EvidenceSeparate facts, assumptions, dissent, uncertainty and unresolved information.
AuthorityRecord who may decide, approve, revoke or stop, including specialist boundaries.
DependenciesIdentify the policy, provider, contract and operating conditions the decision relies on.
Change impactWhen a material condition changes, identify the decisions and actions that depend on it.
Next actionResume, narrow, repair, hold, escalate or close, with the reason preserved.

Example path

A provider condition changes.

Illustrative mechanism only. This is not customer evidence or a production-performance claim.

  1. 01Record the changeA provider policy or operating condition changes.
  2. 02Find dependenciesIdentify decisions and actions that relied on that condition.
  3. 03Contain the affected pathPause only what requires review. Keep unrelated work separate.
  4. 04Recheck the basisReview evidence, authority and any specialist requirement.
  5. 05Record the dispositionResume, narrow, repair, hold, escalate or close.

Evidence

What the evidence supports today.

The current record supports the method, its internal controls and the stated internal validation scope. It does not establish production performance or market results.

Supported internally

  • Current method and control architecture.
  • Defined source-level validation scope.
  • Controlled reference cases.
  • Recorded failed tests and unresolved findings.
  • Known open validation gaps.

Not yet established

  • Production reliability or security.
  • Customer outcomes or ROI.
  • Conversion or market fit.
  • Independent assurance.
  • Superiority over a competent incumbent approach.

A review may end with NO FIT, EVIDENCE FIRST, SPECIALIST FIRST, NARROW FIRST, or REVIEW FIT.

Where it fits

Route by the decision problem.

The starting point is the decision problem. A no-fit result remains valid when existing controls already resolve it with comparable integrity and no greater burden.

Decision check

Check whether the issue is worth reviewing.

Answer three questions. This sample runs locally in the browser and sends no data.

Use only non-sensitive information. A result is directional and does not replace a qualified professional determination.

NO RESULT YET

Select the current conditions.

The result will identify a preliminary route. It will not create an external action.

Data practices

What this page's decision check does with your input.

These statements describe this page's browser-side behavior, not the collection, storage or retention practices of any hosting or delivery provider.

Accounts and contact data

This page has no account, contact, payment, mailing-list or free-text submission path.

Demonstration boundary: this page is a browser-side sample, not a production application. It does not process accounts, payments or external actions. Hosting and delivery services may process access metadata; their providers, logging, retention, rights paths and privacy notices require independent review before any release. Do not enter sensitive information in this sample.

Trust boundary

PEOA does not turn model capability into authority.

PEOA does not replace legal, regulatory, audit, security authorization, accounting, procurement or other specialist decisions. Internal validation does not become production proof.

If existing controls already solve the problem at equal or lower burden, the right outcome may be no additional PEOA engagement.

  • Facts remain separate from inference and unresolved information.
  • Access and capability do not create permission.
  • Attempted, approved and completed actions remain different states.
  • No fit remains a valid result.
